Responsible gambling
Betting should be entertainment, not a way to make money or fix financial problems. If it has stopped being fun, seek help.
Warning signs: staking more than you planned, chasing losses, borrowing money to bet, hiding how much you play, or betting in a way that affects work, study or relationships.
Useful tools: set deposit and time limits, use the operator's self-exclusion, and take breaks. Licensed operators are required to offer these.
Where to get support: national gambling-help lines and Gamblers Anonymous groups offer free, confidential help. Your doctor can also refer you to local services.
This site does not provide treatment — only information. If you or someone close needs help, speak to a health professional.
